Cricket Alberta is the provincial sports organization for cricket overseeing a mandate for administration, development, and elite competition. The association was incorporated in 1975 under the Alberta Societies Act as the Alberta Cricket Association. In 2009, the association was renamed Cricket Alberta to follow the naming convention of other Canadian based national and regional sports governing bodies.
Membership in the association is contained within two member leagues, operating respectively in Calgary and Edmonton for over 100 years. The regional municipalities of Fort McMurray and Red Deer operate as associate members.
Cricket has a long proud history in the province of Alberta and continues to provide a high level of play and player development within the province. Alberta members have consistantly been part of the Canada\\\\\\\'s national programs.
